JORDAN - THE FOOTSTEPS OF PROPHET MOSES

Day 1: AIRPORT / AMMAN

Arrival at Amman airport, visa processing, and transfer to the reserved hotel. Dinner (if you arrive at the hotel before 9:00 pm) and accommodation.

Day 2: AMMAN / MADABA / MT. NEBO / SHOBAK PANORAMIC / PETRA

Breakfast. Departure to visit the Orthodox Church of St. George, home to the first mosaic map of Palestine. Continue to Mount Nebo to admire the panoramic view of the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea from the mountain. This place is significant because it was the last place visited by Moses, who viewed the promised land from here but never reached it. Proceed to Shobak Castle, a solitary reminder of the ancient glory of the Crusaders. Built in 1115 by King Baldwin as a defense along the Damascus-Egypt road, the castle is located less than an hour north of Petra. It was sometimes referred to as “Mont Real or Mons Regalis” and is nestled on the mountainside amid a wide area of fruit trees. Departure to Petra. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 3: PETRA

Breakfast. Full day dedicated to visiting the pink city, the capital of the Nabateans. During the visit, you’ll see the most important and representative monuments carved into the rock by the Nabateans, including the Treasury, famously known internationally and featured in an Indiana Jones movie, the Colorful Tombs, the Royal Tombs, and more. Petra is one of those places in the world that you must visit at least once in your lifetime. After the visit, return to the hotel in the evening. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 4: PETRA / LITTLE PETRA / WADI RUM / AMMAN

Breakfast. Departure to what is known as “Little Petra,” just 15 km north of Petra. A narrow gorge with typical Nabatean architecture makes this visit unique and incomparable. Inhabited by the Nabateans, it has many tombs, water cisterns, and channels. There’s a small path leading to some areas in the interior, such as Siq Al Bared. The scale of this area and its continuation from Petra earned it the name Little Petra. Departure to Wadi Rum, Lawrence of Arabia’s desert. Enjoy a desert excursion in Wadi Rum with a 2-hour 4×4 vehicle ride led by Bedouins, exploring the lunar landscape of this desert. We’ll venture into the pink sands of this desert, characterized by the whimsical granite masses shaped by nature. After the visit, depart for Amman.

Day 5: AMMAN / AIRPORT

Breakfast. Free day to explore Amman at your own pace. Personalized advice will be provided to recommend places to visit. At the designated time, transfer to the airport for your regular flight back to your home country.
